According to Dr. Paul Flashner, M.D., “colon hydrotherapy is the perfect specific procedure to eliminate constipation and restore normal bowel function. A lot of disease comes from imbalances in the colon, as manifested by inflammatory bowel disease, ulcerative colitis, autoimmune diseases, allergies, multiple sclerosis, and certainly constipation.”
Colon hydrotherapy is a safe, gentle and effective way to remove waste from the colon without drugs.
The waste is softened and loosened by a gentle infusion of filtered and temperature regulated water, resulting in elimination through natural peristalsis. Colon hydrotherapy is non-addictive; it simply encourages the natural colon function by stimulating peristalsis.
The main functions of the colon are threefold: to absorb water and vitamins/electrolytes from indigestible food matter, to accept and store food remains that were not digested in the small intestine and to eliminate solid waste (feces) from the body. The colon contains nearly 60 varieties of microflora or bacteria to aid digestion, promote vital nutrient production, to maintain pH (acid-base) balance and to prevent proliferation of harmful bacteria.
During a session your dignity is completely maintained with proper draping in a private room. My table has a built in fan, therefore there is no odor.
A simple colon cleansing program is one of the most important, positive steps you can take to establish and maintain an optimal level of health and energy. Many people report feeling a sensation of lightness and well being after as many as just one colon hydrotherapy session.
A single colon hydrotherapy session may produce the same results as having numerous regular bowel movements. Eliminations during following sessions can be even more significant as older, putrefied feces are eliminated from the colon walls.
Colon hydrotherapy retrains the muscle of the bowel to regain its strength.
After a series most individuals regain normal bowel function of at least one movement a day. A healthy bowel however, may have two to three bowel movements a day, depending on what you eat. I do not use chemicals—only clean purified water.
Very little preparation is necessary. I do suggest however, that you refrain from eating a heavy meal just prior to your appointment. Drinking plenty of water is always a great idea.
My table is an “open system”.
An open system infuses the water via gravity, through a rectal nozzle that varies in diameter from ¼” to ½” and the fecal debris is expelled into a reservoir passing the nozzle that remains in place. With this system, the client inserts their own tube (the tubes we use are somewhat smaller than a drinking straw).
